Importance of NCCER Card Numbers

It is critical for all Registry users to use NCCER card numbers in the system to maintain accuracy. The NCCER card number is the most important number used in the Registry. Regardless of what alternative number someone might use to access the system, you can always find their information by using their NCCER card number.

Creating a Profile in the New System

Creating a profile in the new Registry System is not required for users who do not submit training or assessments for credentials. To verify a person's credentials, you do not need to create a profile; simply click the Online Verification button on the Registry website and enter the person's card number as you would in the old system.

Crane, Rigger and Signal Person Processes Just Got Easier!

No paper needed, it's all electronic. The candidate needs to register in the new system and fill out the application prior to taking the practical so everything is ready to go. You no longer have to wait for us to process submissions because it is automatically done in the system. This new process allows you to see all four parts, and see the photo once it gets approved.

Don't Worry About Form Numbers

You no longer have to remember form numbers. The name of each form is listed with the number in parenthesis at the end:

  • Registration of Curriculum Certifications (Form 101)
  • Registration of Assessment Certification (Form 101A)

No Need to Enter the Same Information Multiple Times

Class templates can now be saved and duplicated, so you no longer have to re-enter information.

Updated Registration of Training Modules (Form 200)

Adjustments have been made to the Registration of Training Modules form that improve processing, submission and performance. Also, please note the addition of an Expand All button. To see all of the modules listed on the form, click the Expand All button and the individual modules will appear under their respective trainee's name.

Improved Customer Service

The new Registry System allows NCCER staff to see the same thing users see as they are explaining their issues. This will help us resolve problems faster.

Importing Individual Modules to Class Templates

Currently, class templates allow for all of the modules in a level to be imported, but do not allow modules to be imported individually. This is expected to be fixed within the next couple of weeks.

Reports Are Not Available

We do realize that reports are unavailable at this time. We will post as soon as they are available.

Multiple Error Messages Being Sent to Assessment Centers

AACs are receiving notifications to their message centers about assessment and crane result errors. This message is informational only.  No action is required on your part. The NCCER Registry team will resolve any issue. You can simply archive these messages

Printed Credentials and Viewing Records

Credentials are unable to be printed at this time, but records can be viewed in a user's profile and through online verification. Some data migration from the old system is still ongoing. If you are missing records, please contact NCCER customer service.

Detailed Training and Assessment History

Accredited organizations will soon have an expanded user search similar to the quick check feature previously available in the ANR. This allows for details about when training or assessments were taken along with pass/fail information.

Roles in the New System

At this time, only sponsor representatives and instructors can submit training information, and primary administrators and performance evaluators can submit assessment information. However, full functionality for all roles is coming soon.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we transition between systems. This process has been a huge undertaking because it is a very complex system.

Please call NCCER customer service at 888.622.3720 with any questions.

What is NCCER's Registry System?

NCCER's Registry System is a secure database maintained by NCCER to track the names of individuals who have successfully completed any NCCER standardized training program conducted by an accredited organization. It also records all assessment results for both the National Craft Assessment and Certification Program and the Pipeline Training and Assessment Program.

NCCER's Registry System is accessible online and provides electronic submission and tracking of training, managing of instructor lists and confirmation of training units and records. It gives NCCER Accredited Training Sponsors the ability to manage training information online in a secure environment; individuals the ability to review their own training history; and contractors access to current and future employees’ training and assessment history.

An NCCER wallet card gives the employer the opportunity to verify a current or potential employee’s credentials. The card is not a representation of certification but rather an illustration that the card holder has been entered into NCCER’s Registry System. It is the responsibility of the employer to verify a person’s credentials by visiting the system and using the identification number on the wallet card to access their information.
